Why hire an IBCLC?

International Board Certified Lactation Consultants are the “gold standard” in lactation care. This means that IBCLCs have the most education and training in breastfeeding management of any other healthcare professional (including Pediatricians, Obstetricians, and Registered Nurses).

  • Parents who have the support of an IBCLC are more likely to continue breastfeeding longer and more exclusively

  • IBCLCs have the most up-to-date, evidence-based, case-specific information regarding breastfeeding management

  • Breastfeeding/ lactation management is our only focus. This means personalized, ongoing care- delivered directly by a board-certified specialist. Usually in your own home. Followup support is available via text or email.

About Tiffany Leslie, IBCLC

Professional Expertise. Personal Understanding.

I’m Tiffany Leslie, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) serving families with compassionate, evidence-based lactation care. My journey into this work began with my own experience: I felt uncertain, even though I was surrounded by knowledgeable and supportive loved ones. I struggled- and that struggle sparked a deep determination to understand breastfeeding on a clinical and personal level.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology focused on low-income family systems and a minor in Psychology, I knew I wanted to build a career centered on supporting families. I channeled that foundation into the field of lactation beginning in 2018, becoming certified as an IBCLC in 2020.

Since then, I’ve worked alongside families in the Kern County community through Baby Café and Kern Medical, offering support in hospital settings, outpatient clinics, and community spaces. Today I bring that experience to individual families, offering one-on-one care that honors each family's goals, values, and lived realities.

I am also a Microbirth Approved Provider (MAP), which means I’ve completed advanced training in the infant microbiome - the foundation of a baby’s gut and immune health. I use this knowledge to guide families in giving their babies a strong, healthy start.

Additionally, I hold specialized training in infant oral function, including assessment and oral habilitation as it pertains to breastfeeding. This allows me to support families navigating feeding challenges related to tongue ties, latch difficulties, milk transfer and more.

It means so much to be invited into this part of your family’s journey.
